2024 was the year that we really started to try and grow One More Game Club, and we’ve accomplished a lot – all thanks to our community members. Over the past year, we’ve hit a number of milestones:
The Discord Server
The Discord server is hopping, we’ve had continual growth in membership and activity. On any given day you can find a group of people hanging out in voice channels gaming or just chilling. We’ve also converted the server to an official Discord Community server, which will allow for us to be discoverable in their directory once we grow a bit further. On top of that, our members have helped boost our server to level 3 – giving us all the perks.
The Website
We also launched our new website (duh.). Our goal on the website is to create some longer form content. One of the pillars is Indie Encounter, our reviews for games made by indie developers, including works in progress as well as completed games.
Our new site also gives us a place to start selling some of our own merch. All the proceeds from the merch sales go right back into helping OMGC continue to grow, and is a great way to support us.
Social Media
Lastly, we started posting on our socials again – and it’s been a minute. Our goal is to use these platforms to promote the activity of the club and its members. In the last few months of 2024 alone, we hit milestones on Instagram, racking up over 4k plays and 5.5 watch time hours on a single reel.
We couldn’t have gotten to this point without all of you, so from the team here at OMGC, thank you.
Enough about 2024, let’s look ahead at some of the things we want to accomplish in 2025.
More Community Game Nights
We want to create more opportunities to come together and laugh, compete, and bond over our favorite games. We will look to do this by creating a schedule of game nights that occur regularly – making it easier to plan and attend.
These events don’t need to be organized by the server admins – feel free to suggest a day and game to play, we’ll help create the event in the calendar and get people interested.
More Contests
We’re planning to host a variety of contests that cater to all kinds of talents and interests. From art and writing challenges where you can unleash your creativity, to in-game competitions like speedruns, best gameplay clips, or even custom character design contests, we aim to offer something for everyone. These contests won’t just be about winning prizes—they’ll also be about celebrating the unique talents and contributions of our amazing members.
More Giveaways
As a token of appreciation, we’ll be hosting more giveaways throughout the year. Expect everything from gift cards to game codes, exclusive merchandise, and other surprises. These giveaways are our way of saying thank you for being a part of this incredible community with us.

We’re dedicating space on our social media platforms to highlight the amazing talents and stories within our community. Whether it’s stunning fan art, impressive gameplay videos, inspiring personal achievements, or creative in-game builds, we want to share and celebrate your incredible work with a broader audience. Keep an eye out for submission opportunities and help us shine a spotlight on the best this community has to offer.
